Cancun 
is worth a days journey. We have spent there a day and found that it did not correspond to our taste to make vacation in the ultramodern super-hotels. 

But first pure-sniffs spent fun. 
There are some Supermarket centers, that are roofed and equipped with all imaginable luxury. 

The pictures will give a small impression.

Cancun

From approximately one quarter-millions of German holiday travelers in Mexico in the year, the biggest part heads for Cancun, that tourist center in the north Yucatans. They start to enjoy from there - normally - a very diversified vacation, because Yucatan offers not only tropical beaches with snow-white sand and turquoise-colored water but just as unspoiled nature-landscapes and unique culture-places of the Maya. It would be simply too precious to put themselves in Cancun at the beach only lazing about and to ignore country and people... although that is also the of course possible. Cancun is a perfect resort from the retort.
